Angular Displacement

|
Series 600
High Accuracy ADTs The Series 600 Angular Displacement Transducers (ADT’s) are precision differential capacitors. These transducers do not have the edge effects and dimensional instability characteristic of traditional capacitive devices. The sensing element is coupled to a solid state oscillator, demodulator, and amplifier to yield DC input DC output performance. These transducers deliver a high level analog DC voltage directly proportional to shaft angular displacement with a high degree of conformity. Rotation is continuous and there is no reactive torque. Reliable performance is assured by the absence of any high speed rubbing contacts. KEY FEATURES

Series 605
High Accuracy ADTs The Model 0605 is an absolute rotary position transducer based upon differential capacitance. It has been designed to provide a simple means of inputting angular position into analog or digital systems. Internal voltage regulation along with a factory set full scale output allows the direct interchanging of units without system recalibration. The Model 0605 allows great flexibility in supporting individual customer’s requirements. With eight different full scale ranges from 12° to 300°, five different outputs, termination choices, and other options, there are over 640 available versions of this design. For each range the user can be supplied with one of five specified outputs. For unique applications, when the normal configurations are not suitable, custom ranges or outputs can be specified. Series 100
Linear Velocity Transducers The Series 100 Linear Velocity Transducers provide a simple yet accurate means of measuring linear velocity. They consist of high coercive force permanent magnet cores which induce sizable DC voltage while moving concentrically within shielded coils. The basic design permits operation without external excitation while the generated output voltage varies linearly with core (magnet) velocity. These transducers are ideal for seismology, hydraulic ram speed, drilling rate, and any other application where an instantaneous velocity measurement is required. KEY FEATURES

Series 1000
Oscillator/Demodulator The Series 1000 Oscillator/Demodulators provide complete electrical support for AC LVDTs. Working from an unregulated DC input, the modules generate a stable sinusoidal excitation voltage for the transducer. The LVDT’s secondary voltages are converted into DC voltage by the module’s phase sensitive demodulator. The demodulator has automatic phase synchronization which simplifies installation and setup by eliminating the need to make phase angle adjustments for each transducer. An active, three-pole filter in the final stage reduces output ripple while maximizing frequency response. Other features include zero and span controls, full encapsulation, threaded inserts for mounting, and self locking terminal strips. KEY FEATURES

Series 1003
Transducer Indicator The Model 1003 Transducer Indicator provides complete electronic support to AC and DC LVDT’s, or other DC powered transducers. The AC version provides an appropriate excitation voltage (at 3 or 7 KHz) for the LVDT and also demodulates the output, providing not only a digital readout, but a continuous analog output. This eliminates the need for a separate oscillator/ demodulator. The DC version contains a dual power supply for transducers requiring both positive and negative excitation. Ideal for use in the lab or in a high speed closed loop system, this versatile indicator comes standard with a 5 digit L.E.D. readout to provide maximum resolution. KEY FEATURES

Series D100
Dual DC Power Supply The Series D100 power supplies are regulated, preset voltage sources, ideally suited for DC excited transducers, discrete and IC function modules. All components are encapsulated to provide reliable continuous operation to rated specifications in laboratory and factory environments. They are equipped with an on-off switch, line cord, binding post terminals, rubber feet and a #4-40 tapped hole located on the bottom side for permanent mounting. The hole is connected to earth ground via the power line cord ground terminal. Dual voltage power supplies allow the user to choose the transducer excitation voltage; for example, Model D12.200 can be used to power a transducer with 12 VDC or 24 VDC. To excite the transducer with 12 VDC, connect the transducer +INPUT and -INPUT to the power supply +V and COM terminals, respectively (or to the power supply COM and -V terminals, respectively). To excite the transducer with 24 VDC, connect the transducer +INPUT and -INPUT to the power supply +V and -V terminals, respectively. KEY FEATURES

Series P010
OEM Oscillator/Demodulator The Series P010 Oscillator/Demodulator PC Boards are the ideal AC LVDT interface for OEM applications. The compact circuit board design includes an ASIC for the oscillation/demodulation function, with peripheral components included for voltage regulation, output scaling and filtering. The synchronous demodulator converts the AC voltages from the secondary coils to a DC voltage, where the output is amplified and filtered. A standardized ±5 VDC output signal is adjustable by manipulating an integral trim pot and can be used as an input to most A/D cards. The small size of this PC Board design makes it ideal for applications where space is limited. KEY FEATURES
